Henry Van Dyke (Nov 10, 1852 - Apr 10, 1933) was an American author, educator, and clergyman. Educated at Princeton, Van Dyke graduated from its theological seminary in 1877 and became a Presbyterian minister. An Old Game is a short story by Henry Van dyke. The story follows three men, walking together. They have almost nothing in common. They are headed in different places, they have different views of everything, their motives have nothing to do with each other. One of them is a possessor, another is a vagabond and third one is a philosopher. The only thing they have in common is the road under their feet, which brought them together for the time being. A why not play a good old game, just to fill in the time?
