In this 166th issue of the Baba Indaba’s Children's Stories series, Baba Indaba narrates the story of Binnorie. A king has two beautiful daughters. A nobleman courts and woos the elder, but in time his attention changes to the younger. He dumps the elder sister who is angry and jealous of her younger sister. One day they go down to a mill. On the way the elder sister, unseen, pushes her sister into the river and despite her pleas for her sister to help her, she drowns. A wandering minstrel with a magic harp recovers her body from the reeds alongside the river. That evening he plays at the Kings court......…….
