“Your poems say many things about you—all of them good. If your personality delights your fortunate husband as much as the flavour of your poems has delighted me, he’s someone to be envied.”
Irving Layton

“You write a very warm, human kind of letter, and the poems of yours I like the best are the warm, human ones. All are, of course, publishable. You do have a poetic personality.”
Fred Cogswell, University of New Brunswick

Joan Kehoe immigrated to Canada from the north of England as a young child in 1948. She has lived ever since in Scarborough, Ontario. She is retired from a long, fulfilling career as a teacher and consultant for kindergarten.
Joan has been writing poetry all her adult life. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines and has received three awards.
A lifelong singer, Joan presently sings soprano with the Serenata Singers and Scarborough Choral Society.
Her late husband, David, always encouraged her writing. Joan finds great joy with her daughter and two sons and their families. She is an adoring grandmother to three amazing children.
