Carlos Slim Helu is a Mexican businessman and one of the richest people in the world who has a net worth of $72 billion. He is a businessman, philanthropist, and engineer largely focused on the telecommunications industry in Mexico. Slim has a substantial influence over the telecommunications industry in Mexico and much of Latin America.

 

He controls Telefonos De Mexico, TelCel, and America Movil.
