In this heart-warming sequel to the novel From Within, the story continues with Chelsea's daughter Bianca Lynn Yates. In this story, Bianca is born with the gift and she deals with it in a different way. She moves to San Diego and learns from her grandmother Barbara, Jason's mother.

She has a vivid dream before she leaves for San Diego about a guy and doesn't think anything of it until she sees him at the diner in San Diego.

The coincidence is that he too is able to see spirits. They get together to meditate, when a portal appears. They jump inside and they are whisked into another time, the future. They see things that will happen to them that could change their lives in the present time. They go back to the past to try and fix the things they saw take place later in the future but it could alter everything.

Along the way, Bianca's mother Chelsea finds out about the portal and wants to use it herself. Bianca is hesitant, but she decides to let her use it. Chelsea intends to use the portal to change what happened to her, but instead finds out something devastating that changes everything.

The future and the past will bring all three of them together on this journey through time, bringing them even closer.
