With her friends at her side, Lucy continues into the Wasteland in search of a doggoid settlement, in the hope that said doggoids can possibly help her fight the Dominion of Droid. On the way there, she meets tiny parasitic people, giant evil robot heads, and half-cat women who quickly prove to be bad puddy tats. Trapped in the half-cat's magic spell, Lucy must fight her way out -- and simultaneously keep from literally falling apart.

Quotes:

"Lucy," repeated Janet seriously. "Pleased to meet you, lovely." She looked critically at Molly. "Are you a . . . headless mannequin?"

No, I'm six ducks in a suit, Molly signed.

Janet smiled, revealing several sharp teeth. "So the mannequin is a smart ass. Nice."

--

"What did you think would happen when I asked to live inside you?" returned Janet, still very amused. "I have access to your brain and nervous system. It is a symbiotic relationship. You were right. I am a parasite, Lucy. I never pretended otherwise."

--
Droid 0.748921 gave an awkward cough through her mouth grid. "It's all right. Didn't last that long."

Lucy looked at the Droid in amazement. "You're brushing off a malfunction in your brain. That's like saying 'It's cool. I just had an aneurysm.' "

--

Droid 0.748921 tensed. "Here she comes," she muttered, and Lucy heard the Droid's arm rev up, preparing to unfold and reveal its gun.

"Let her talk to us first!" Lucy cried, appalled. "Don't just shoot her!"

"Why not?" said Droid 0.748921 calmly, seriously. "She is an unknown entity, and as a result, is a potential danger to you --"

"Because!" Lucy burst in wide-eyed amazement.

-
I don't take candy from strangers, Molly signed dismissively.

"Ah, but you'll like my candy," the cat woman purred.
