Matilda May had a pet goat named Tappy. Tappy followed Matilda everywhere. One evening when Matilda was on an errand for her mother, something startled Tappy, and she started running. Matilda chased her, trying to catch up to her. Before Matilda realized it, she was chasing Tappy through the forest. They were running farther away from home.
