Angela and Anthony have built up McDowell Industries over the last several years. It is now a company worth billions of which Angela has been put in the position of CEO. Nicholas Jones appears at the office one day, and he is concerned about the current status of the company. He informs her that the business would be much better off with him as CEO. Angela knows that she can't trust him. Nicholas keeps insisting that he has changed. He explains how he plans on replacing her as CEO. After Nicholas saves her life from an intruder and shows that he truly is concerned about her Angela starts believing that he really may have changed over the years. She lets her guard down and finds out that Nicholas is much more ruthless and manipulative than she could ever have imagined. But it is also brought to her attention that her "perfect" Anthony may have not been so perfect after all. Will Angela ever be able to put the past behind her and find real happiness and true love?
