Volume II continues with an account of the foundation of the British colonial health policy in the Malay Peninsula (later British Malaya). It covers the period of the British colonial rule in the Peninsula between the mid-eighteenth and the early twentieth century. During the period, the development and expansion of colonial medical services in the Malay Peninsula correlated with the increased intensity of British imperialism in the former.
