An attractive lawyer's wife is gunned to death  in her car in the presence of her children at the end of a large family Thanksgiving weekend, 1992.

Thus began one of Cobb  Counties most incredibly bizarre cases in a county with a history of bizarre cases. It was to consist of a cast so large and strange as to defy belief. No self-respecting fiction writer would ever dare assemble a plot, with the list of characters, and even their names that were to appear in the case. One peripheral character had the name  Donald Duck.

Members of Atlanta's political, legal, and social elite were found to intimately involved with the family. Some of Atlanta's highest profile athletes were peripherally involved and became trial witnesses.

It was a was a case with so many motives, clues, twist and turns that the police were almost overwhelmed with suspects and evidence to sort through. The trail was to lead to internatonal drugs, money laundering, and even the Mafia.

Atlanta was transfixed by the case for over a year as new revelations came out almost daily.
