When my Mom was first diagnosed, at age 43, with stage I breast cancer back in 1998, we never in a million years thought it would come back 11 years later as stage IV and eventually take her life. When my Mom passed away in December of 2014, at the age of 59, I began to realize just how many people she had touched and inspired during her short life.
