The Coolpix B500 boasts a number of novel features that include a sixteen megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, optical zoom glass lens that are able to zoom between 40 and 80 times to capture objects regardless of distance, Hybrid VR to minimize camera shake and a 920,000 dot 3 inch tilting LCD screen. Unique to the Coolpix B500 is its power source. The device is among the few digital cameras of its class to be powered by AA batteries. The device is also able to record movies in full HD with pixels of up to 1080.
