No Country for Black Men

In the late summer of 2014, black communities across the country exploded in anger over the deaths of black men at the hands of the police, including Eric Garner in Staten Island, NY, and Mike Brown in Ferguson, MO. But of course they weren't just upset with police brutality.

No Country for Black Men is a sort of compendium of all the reasons why someone might want to set fire to a Quik Trip in post-race America, with in-depth analysis of music, film, sports, literature, politics and technology and discussion of hot-button issues like cultural appropriation, censorship, US foreign policy, particularly as it pertains to—where else?—the Middle East, the aforementioned police brutality and of course the current state of hip-hop.
