“Oh, God, No!” Joan Terrill exclaims as she realizes that her husband Randy lies dead at her feet, beneath a pew, in the Sunday morning worship service of the World Community Church, Daycross, Georgia. Rushing to her aid are Pastor Dr. Jack Hunter, local physician, Dr. John Tapp, and Deputy Sheriff, T.C. Evans. Considered a modern church “miracle” in the middle of sunbaked South Georgia soil, the huge edifice soon becomes a crime scene with the deaths of Randy Terrill and later, church custodian/supervisor, Andy Johnson.
