He also drove for Alfa Romeo in 1954 and Ferrari in sports car events worldwide. Carini's life was ended in a head on collision at St. Etienne, France in 1957, He ran through some hedges before he collided head on with Baretto, a young Portuguese driver. Carini began his career racing motorcycles. He bought a Maserati as he was able to afford it as a youth.
