After narrowly avoiding death by goblin horde, tentacular worm, and conjured conflagration, Arden, Gnome, Ohlen, Ruprecht, X’andria, and Boudreaux emerge into the daylight and seek to understand the madness that transpired beneath the Westoveran mountains. They journey to the port city of Rockmoor to recover, to strengthen, to learn. But between the rats, the thieves, the smugglers, and the otherworldly demonic cretins, there is very little rest for the weary—and they realize the darkness they’ve encountered is but a foreshadowing of the malevolence approaching.
