Tears of Fire

This is a love story, although not in the conventional sense of romantic love. This book explores the transformative power of suffering in a revealing narrative informed by spiritual practice. This book explores what it takes to keep your heart open in hell even if it is of your own making. The author relates her struggle in living life with a broken heart not as someone special, but rather as one of the billions of women who strive to live on through adversity day after day. The story creates a context in which a "larger story" can unfold and be revealed. The author states "When we long for God, for the ineffable, for the Beloved of our soul, all our relationships give us this opportunity to find God/Goddess in the other, and every relationship gives us a chance to open our hearts and with the opening, we open to the wounds that go along with love."
