Jerome Klapka Jerome, an English writer who is mostly known for as the author of the novel 'Three Men In A Boat' and 'The Idle Thoughts Of An Idle Fellow'. Jerome's stories are full of sardonic humour and often based on his own experience anf feelings. Danes and Saxons have been enemies for a long period of time. Danes surfed the sea and Saxons preferred to dwell on earth. From time to time fight occured and blood were spilt. But eventually peace came to that land and one day a Dane named Haafager with his men came to the walls of the prosperous city situated by the sea. He sought not war but land for his men to live. The Saxons opened the gates of their city and welcomed Haafager although he thought it was a bad idea. How will this story develope? Read 'The City Of The Sea' and you will know!
