I like to describe myself as a casual Buddhist when asked about my religion. Or a Happy Turtle. Turtles are comfortable in their own shell, take their time journeying through life, and some live to be quite old. The writings in this book are based on the ancient Japanese art of Haiku. Seventeen chapters of seventeen Haiku, comprised of seventeen syllables each. Simple three line verses of five, then seven and finally five syllables. They are meant to be read not in any particular order but to be contemplated one per day for a total of 289 days, then rinse and repeat. Topics range from Death, God, Life and Love to Nature, Rebirth and Wisdom among others. It is merely my simple attempt to understand the insanity of the world we live in and to create a better place for our children and future generations.

March is upon us
Looking forward to rebirth
For you, for us all
