It is a love story between a great farmer Adejoh of a fictional pre-colonial society and a fair pretty lady Ajanigo that had rejected many suitors in the past for reasons best known to her. The book narrates the tragic disappointment that broke out of a mysterious war leading to the supposed demise of Adejoh and the marriage between Ajanigo and Omaka the supposed survival of the war.
If only Adejoh died! The story centers on two great fictional kingdoms Eluje and Ijabi making use of some Igala names as used by the Igala people of Kogi State, Nigeria. War and Love what a great contrast.
