The Lying Game

It was a social experiment--Marry a man I didn't know. Stay together for an entire year while the entire country watched. If the audience believed we were in love at the end, we'd win a million dollars.
It sounded like a risk worth taking. But it wasn't the cash I was after. I signed up because, like many girls, I was tired of the dating game and wanted to find my own happily ever after.
I never expected to be chosen, was overjoyed when I was. Well, until I met him…

They told me we'd be compatible.
They led me to believe he'd be the kind of man I'd imagined spending my life with.

What they didn't tell me was the title of the show--Opposites Attract.
They'd purposely matched me up with a man who was everything I didn't want. All in the name of entertainment. And I'd stupidly signed along the dotted line.

I should have read the fine print.
