Charles Godfrey Leland (1824-1903) was an American writer working in the genres humour and satire and collecting folklore. He studied American and European traditions and travelled a lot while working as a journalist. Leland became famous for his comic book 'Hans Breitman's Ballads'.
This story tells us of two brothers who goes hunting one day but they have to stay there throughout winter. And there the brothers become longing for a woman. When the younger brother comes back to the lodge he sees that it looks like someone have done housekeeping, but still he sees no woman there…
