The Other Horizon

A young college student Damian Grimes stows away aboard a vessel bound for Africa in search of the secrets of the lost Library of Alexandria. Washed overboard he is rescued by natives from a remote island. There he finds the teachings of a fugitive Greek Philosopher, Darius of Velantra, embedded in mysterious stones which expand his mind. But he flees the island to protect the works from the island’s erupting volcano.

Inexplicably he finds another island harboring a duplicate Library created millennia ago. by the Greeks. The ruling council grant him asylum provided he never leave. Shrouded in secrecy, this is the storehouse of all knowledge accumulated over the centuries. Only the greatest minds are invited to leave their finest works as their legacies. Grimes is the unwitting key to save their island. He will discover that is a place of incredible, hidden secrets-some terrible.
