After 1500 years, technology has given the means for Vivaine to escape the curse of the seer, sorcerer, and her ex, Merlin that holds her trapped with him, but the two quickly learn that you never know how the future unfolds in the fantasy comedy, "A Matter of Time."

Eluned entered into the ice storms as a sacrifice to ensure her people's survival, but the intervention of a fabled destroyer helps her see her world and the meaning of sacrifice in a whole new light in "A Sacrifice to the Storms."

Jacob, a pianist on a cruise ship, has become disheartened with his love of music since it has become just another job, but a request from an odd little girl teaches that his future remains in hands in "As the Music Stops."

In "Just a Sip," the Sandman, a serial poisoner that places his victim's in an incurable coma, is confident enough in his sanctuary that he agrees to an interview, but his interviewer teaches that victims only exist in the mind.

In the flash fiction "Of Light and Dark," Amanda faces the brothers Golau and Tywyll and learns that there is no part of life set in stone.

"The Red Dragon Flies" puts a fantasy spin on one of the stories of Merlin and tells it through the eyes of his father. Merlin's father risks losing his little boy to Vortigern, but time may take him first. A short story based on Welsh myth and a winning entry of the East Texas Rose Comicon 2017 short story contest.

In the crime flash fiction, "Where There's Smoke...," Jackie and Davis pulled off the perfect art heist, as long as everything goes according to plan until the heat dies down.
