I left the Radio station and went home with the parents of my classmate from the school for the blind. I cried all the way home and once home, I laid next to my daughter and slept. After all, the most peaceful and cheapest thing in the world is sleep. As the days passed by, my courage also withered. I considered staying with my friend’s family to be a temporary solution, while my hosts were finding it hard to let me go. But they knew that history would repeat itself and that I would end up leaving with or without their permission. I was too independent to stay and become dependent upon them. One day, I received a phone call from a lady who was the director of a communication company who wanted to use my story for communication purposes. She was very keen to meet me and proposed using my story to move people and to position a candidate for the local elections, someone for whom she worked. She suggested that I be the voice of the voiceless.
