Howard Pyle (Mar 5, 1853 – Nov 9, 1911) was an American illustrator and author. In 1894 he began teaching illustration at the Drexel Institute. On the verge of twentieth century, he has founded his own school of art. His classic publication of The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood remains in print up to date due to its popularity. He published his first novel, Otto of the Silver Hand, in 1888. He also illustrated historical and adventure stories for papers and magazines
The Story of Sir Launcelot and His Companions is a novel by Howard Pyle. Thought all of the Knights of the Round Table were equal, one of them stands a little apart. His name was Launcelot, and he was second only to Arthur himself and a lot of legends of his own, like daring rescue of Queen Guinevere, the tournament at Astolat, the birth of Galahad, and much more. Read and immerse into atmosphere of medieval Britain and spirit of knighthood.
