In Terminology of Holiness, Chapman argues that language is only useful when it is interpreted correctly by its users, especially when it comes to the terminology of the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, this book instructs readers in Chapmans idea of correct holiness vocabulary. He begins by explaining the concept of terminology in science, art, and other fields of human interest and discusses the importance of terminology for human beings in general. He then discusses interest in the terminology of Bible holiness and the importance of establishing and expanding this terminology for ourselves and others. Next, Chapman introduces the detailed terminology of holiness in four major parts: sin, redemption, salvation, and holiness (referred to as “Christian estate”). Finally, Chapman includes an appendix of the general terms regarding Bible Holiness.
