I have written from ancestry and newspaper sources a brief anthology of mini bios of young people who died in Cary, NC prior to the beginning of its rapid growth in the late 1970s. The e-book is most relevant to understanding the North Carolina town's past and its people. I have written in my Foreword that I am a lifelong resident of Cary, who moved here in 1962, when I was 2 years of age. The town's population was around 3,000 then. I was not acquainted with any of the youths I have written about. I have included some details of the ambitions, career aspirations, and backgrounds of each person I profiled. Readers will be able to easily locate where the individuals lived, worked, attended school, and died. The majority of the youths are buried in Cary and Raleigh, NC. I hope this work will inspire others to write about Cary, while reflecting about its rich heritage.
