Who Do We Appreciate?

Football is a big part of the town. Mike Dawson has no idea how important it is until he gets coerced into trying out for the team by his friends, presumably just to have a good time. There, he runs straight into the politics of the sport, the love triangles inherent into the town - both through the girl he would like to be one with, the coach, who is obsessed with winning, and his girl friend, who likes young football stars. In this intriguing tale, Mike confronts all of his demons, being poor in a have-have not society, being outcast by the coach and some of his star players, and finally triumphing over all of them. This is a story that goes beyond the young adult theme - it is for everybody.
