He’s wrong in so many ways. While Wilder is getting to know his new neighbors, the Fox, a burglar with a sense of style, is getting acquainted with the neighbors’ portable antiques. Then, anonymous envelopes of cash start arriving at the museum. Coincidence? Complicating matters further are anonymous phone calls, a journalist asking too many questions, a lecherous guitar picker, a wealthy boor, the boor’s libidinous wife, and Wilder’s own tangled past.
