The smoke and flames were intense as the bullets flew from everywhere. One shot knocked the hat off his head! Another blew past his ear as he heard it whistle by! He fired once, twice! Two more shots whizzed by! He turned and fired, getting one of the gang. He whirled around and fired again, getting another member of the outlaws! He heard and felt a sudden thump to his left bi-cep and a jarring pain shooting down his arm! He holstered one revolver and grabbed his second weapon. As he moved between the burning buildings, he fired twice more. Now he found himself in the town square. The throbbing in his arm was tremendous! Another shot came from the buildings. He heard a voice behind him.
