This is the Diary of two Girl Guide holidays taken by my Mother pre the Second World War, the first in 1936 to Waddow Hall in Lancashire a Guide Centre (as it still is today), the other to Norway in 1937, an adventurous undertaking at that time. She records her enjoyment of the packed programme of events at Waddow while in Norway the group encounters Spartan conditions at times. However the party of blue-clad Guides find themselves the cynosure of all eyes. Then there is the Unfortunate incident of the pudding...
She kept many photographs and postcards in her Diary to complement her writing, these are included.
